Will Rogers was an advocate for the aviation industry and died, along with famed aviator Wiley Post, in an August 1935 airplane crash? Rogers had asked Post to fly him through Alaska in search of new material for his newspaper column. While Post piloted the aircraft, Rogers wrote his columns on his typewriter. Rogers and Post both died doing what they loved--writing and flying, respectively.

 Winston Churchill had a poor academic record in his boarding school, was rarely visited by his mother, and he and his father barely spoke to one another. He suffered from a lisp and an agonizing stutter, yet he is widely regarded as being among the most influential people in British history, and was named “the Greatest Briton of all” in a 2002 poll. Quite an optimist, wouldn’t you say?

 Donald Trump’s net worth plummeted from an estimated $1.7 billion to $500 million following the real estate market decline in 1990? He climbed back from nearly $900 million in the red and in 1997 his worth was reported at $2 billion. As of September 2013, Donald’s worth was $3.5 billion.
